The EDL founder was attacked while reporting on a far-left meeting supposedly talking about womens rights: “I’ve done more scrapping as a journalist than I did going football” members from the meeting attacked Tommy his camera crew and yes one was a women
The former leader of the English Defence League has tweeted about a brawl he got into on the streets of the capital.
He said: “I’ve done more scrapping as a journalist than I did going football.”
He has released a two-second clip which appears to show him being confronted by a gang near the fast food outlet.
It is not believed he was seriously injured.
At 6.54pm Caolan Robertson, a video producer said he had footage of Robinson “being violently attacked in London by violent, left wing extremists” and that it would be published this evening.

A further tweet claims others were also attacked.
The attackers were Far-Left Extremists from the meeting having been made aware of Tommys presence in the area.
Mr Robertson tweeted: “Camera woman (Lucy Brown) thrown on the floor and kicked in the head. Cameraman attacked. Microphones & cameras smashed. Police everywhere.”
Robinson, 35, has previously founded the European Defence League, as well as being co-founder and spokesman of the EDL.
